The methods described in this article have proved to be beneficial to many businesses this year. For all of us in the marketing industry, 2021 was a wild year. Following the pandemic's peak, many businesses increased their efforts to reach new customers. Many of these trends are likely to continue into 2022.



My top three marketing trends that transformed the industry this year:

  1. Video is no longer an option; it is necessary.

  2. Artificial intelligence Chatbots are on the up and up!

  3. Influencer marketing has everyone talking about you!

1. Video

Many businesses are considering this, but it is an absolute necessity.


Despite what you may believe, it also applies to your company. To stay relevant and give


your company a competitive advantage, I strongly recommend using video content, particularly on YouTube. Some businesses continue to be skeptical of TikTok, which is understandable. However, I still advise you to keep a regular presence on the platform. Why? To begin with, the algorithm effectively promotes your video to those who are interested. You will find a wealth of useful information there, regardless of your industry.


The main reasons video is excellent and a rising trend of 2021:

  • Helps you rank higher on Google.

  • Establishes credibility and trust.

  • Encourages people to share it on social media.

Around 80% of consumers surveyed say that watching a brand's video has convinced them to buy a product or service.


2. Chatbots

AI has entered the chat...


Chatbots are something that we've all seen but haven't given much thought to. On a company's website, most of us have interacted with one. In some cases, it responds to your concern; in others, it refers you to a representative who can provide additional assistance. When you consider how much time that system saves, it's truly amazing. Brands can now interact with multiple customers at the same time for a low cost.


Chatbots have a lot of benefits:


  • They give your business a personality.

  • You are immediately available.

  • They have the potential to boost your sales.

The best feature of chatbots, according to 64% of internet users, is 24-hour service.


3. Influencers

A true advocate, rather than a spokesperson.


These influencers are likely to believe strongly enough in your product or service to promote it on their platform. This is a significant risk, so influencers are becoming more selective about the brands with which they work. They've put in a lot of effort to build a following that regards them as a reliable source. It's no surprise that the influencer market was valued at a whopping $13.8 billion in 2021.

It succeeds because it employs techniques such as word-of-mouth marketing and social proof.


These are my top three marketing trends for this year, and I'm confident we'll see new highs in at least one of them in 2022.
